Welcome!

A Message from Pamela Puleo, Executive Director

Concord Hospital’s philanthropic tradition is rooted in the original charitable missions of the very first hospitals in the region, established in the late 1800s. That tradition not only lives on, but becomes the chief focus of the Concord Hospital Trust.

The Trust's Mission is to serve as the philanthropic arm of Concord Hospital, securing and distributing charitable gifts in accordance with donors' intent to support the Hospital's mission of meeting the health needs of individuals within the communities it serves.

With dedicated leadership that focuses on optimizing outreach, maximizing contribution support and ensuring the highest use of contributed funds, the Trust is poised to create a deepened culture of philanthropy on behalf of Concord Hospital.

Despite amazing medical advances and dramatic changes in health care throughout the last century, the Hospital's commitment to the health of our community members and ensuring care for all in need remains steadfast.

As our 2009 Community Benefits Report shows, Concord Hospital provided over $36 million in services and programs to benefit our community members’ health.  It is through these community benefit programs and services that Concord Hospital continues to live out its charitable mission.

Contributions, both past and present, make the difference – the difference in the Hospital's ability to offer the latest in medical technology and sophisticated care, and the difference in the Hospital's ability to increase charitable care to meet people’s needs.

Charitable gifts specifically support a multitude of giving opportunities, including, but not limited to:

  • Community health education and patient support programs;
  • Free care for those in need;
  • Medical education
  • Facility improvements;
  • New and replacement medical equipment;
  • Our endowment.

Please join us - a special group of people – who champion the highest quality of health services for all in our region.

Sincerely,
Pamela Puleo, FAHP
