Spirit of Giving

Invite your FB friends to make a gift.

Spirit of Giving is our annual effort to support Concord Hospital’s most vulnerable patients. Each year, we partner with critical programs and services throughout the health system, to identify what items their staff wish they had to offer to patients and their families.

Support this year's greatest needs across the Concord Hospital Health System.

Pediatrics Wish List

Maintained by staff in The Family Place at Concord Hospital, this list contains the most commonly used and beneficial items for patients and their families. From basic clothing to age-appropriate toys and activities that prepare and distract children during procedures, these items play important roles in helping to meet the physical, behavioral and emotional health needs of the Hospital's youngest patients.

To purchase directly from the wish list, please follow these three easy steps.

  1. View the Wish List on Amazon (or download a printable Wish List).
  2. Order online and have your gifts delivered directly to The Family Place at Concord Hospital by selecting Pediatrics Gift Registry Address at checkout.
  3. Fill out a donation form so we can thank you on behalf of Concord Hospital's youngest patients!
Patient and Family Service Amenities

For patients in our health system, whether awaiting an Emergence Department visit, or occupying a room for any period of time, having access to even the most simple of ammenities make a significant impact. Items such as lap blankets, bibles, fidget sleeves, and DIY crafts can make a difficult experience feel less daunting. Sweatshirts, sweatpants and t-shirts for patients being discharged without any clothing of their own are also of great need, and are provided through our CHomfort Closets on an as-needed basis.

Designated Receiving Facility at Concord Hospital - Franklin

The Designated Receiving Facility (DRF) is a 10-bed inpatient psychiatric unit that admits involuntary emergency admissions as well as voluntary admissions, preparing patients to return to the community and/or for outpatient services. Sadly, many of these patients are admitted with only the clothing they arrive in. Basic items such as t-shirts and sweatpants can make a world of a difference. To take it a step further, art supplies such as paints and canvases can be wonderful therapy tools during their stay.

Maternal and Obstetric Patient Provisions

For families experiencing the transition into new parenthood or caregiving, their time in Concord Hospital should be filled with excitement and wonder. Sadly, many families find their joy to be shortlived, and replaced with worry over how they will provide even the most basic of their little ones' needs. For familes such as these, as well as the staff that care for them, having access to items such as diapers, infant clothing, baby carriers, and toys can help return the focus to the beauty and wonder at hand. By providing such items, as well as instant heating pads, nonperishable food and warm socks for mom and baby, you are allowing maternal health staff to support both parent and child in some of their most critical moments.

Tree Tags

Are you a Concord Hospital employee, or a patient scheduled for a visit during the month of December? If so, the holiday trees in the Hospital's main and visitor lobbies are decorated with wish list gift tags for the taking. Purchased (unwrapped) gifts may be dropped off in the available boxes under the trees, or at the main entrance during staffed hours.

Dropping off or Shipping Purchased Items

If you would like to ship items from a business or location, please email giveto@crhc.org for more information.

To drop off your donation, please bring items (and your donation form) to any of our Concord Hospital entrances, where you may leave them in the box provided beneath the decorated tree. Alternatively, you may also choose to leave them with an associate at one of our hospitality desks.

Donate Now to Support Concord Hospital's Most Vulnerable Patients

Monetary gifts are always appreciated and used to purchase toys, clothing and a variety of much-needed items for our most vulnerable patients and their families throughout the year. You can easily donate online to support The Family Place and other programs and services at Concord Hospital, via the donation form at the bottom of this page. Similarly, donations that support our Helping Hands Fund and Navigating Forward Fund provide much-needed gift cards toward gas, food and other basic needs for our staff and patients who may not otherwise be able to afford them.

Should you have any questions regarding additional ways you can support our patients and their families, please reach out to our team at giveto@crhc.org.

As always, we thank you for your kindness and generosity during both the holiday season and year-round.
